“Hart House: a Traveler's Haven”
Are you headed up the Lake Michigan coast line and need a place to stay? Or are you looking for an upscale West Michigan destination? Give yourself a treat and book the Hart House in Hart, Michigan. A recently renovated, elegant but cozy B & B, the Hart House makes a wonderful overnight or an amazing destination for anyone who enjoys the finer things in life. Al and Patrice, the host and hostess with the mostess (and by that I mean folks with exquisite taste, a great sense of humor and the savoir faire to make everyone comfy) welcomed us with open arms. The home itself is tastefully appointed while being recently updated to include wifi and cable as well as plentiful charging stations. The rooms include sumptuous bedding and personal robes that enfold you in luxury. Every bathroom is a contemporary work of art that blends into the renovated 1904 home. Breakfast is a yummy gourmet meal with sweet and savory choices daily. The surrounding communities of Hart, Pentwater and White Lake provide plenty of nooks and crannies to poke into as well as seasonal outdoor activities. The Hart B & B becomes a home away from home for couples, families or girl friends to relax, to laugh and to luxuriate. We loved it!

“Wonderful Stay, Superb Hosts!!”
Our stay at the Hart House was one of the most relaxing weekends I have had in several years. Relaxing and gourmet dining, I might add. The breakfast choices are those only experienced at 5 star resorts or fine dining establishments. Beautiful and absolutely DELICIOUS! The accommodations are a wonderful combination of new-fresh-up-to-date while also retaining the charm of an exquisitely restored historic home. Patrice and Al have gone the extra mile at every turn, and it shows.
Thank You for the fantastic stay!

What a beautifully restored historic home! Downtown was within walking distance and it's very close to the bike trail. There are several nice restaurants and bars nearby. The Breakfast was fantastic too! Thank you!

The owners of the Hart B and B recently refurbished the original building and did an excellent job mixing in new modern elements while still maintaining the charms of the past. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They provided us with many wonderful complimentary extras, which included luxurious robes, in-room beverages (water, juices, and coffees), and a multitude of delicious snacks and baked-goods which were presented beautifully on the second floor landing (which in itself was a really cool little space!). We enjoyed eating our breakfast in the home's original dining room. I felt as though I was living in the early 20th century while I ate. The breakfast was delicious! I had the quiche, which was flavored perfectly, and my guy was served homemade blueberry pancakes with REAL maple syrup. Other items served included a bowl of freshly-cut fruit, muffins, coffee and juices, as well as homemade sausage patties. *** We are already planning on going back to this B and B in the near future, and we will be recommending it to anyone who is looking for an enjoyable get-away that is not too far from home.

“Delightful Get Away”
The Hart House Bed and Breakfast was a delightful reprieve from my everyday life. The newly renovated inn is stunning. At every turn the attention to details amazed me and created a peaceful sense of beauty and comfort. We stayed in the Shelby Suite, which was roomy and has the most amazing bathroom with a claw foot tub and a full shower with full panel sprays. We slept like a baby on a firm but soft bed and the sheets were so soft. Lots of pillows too.
This is not your typical bed and breakfast with lots of lace and over stuffed with antiques but rather a balanced blend of historical with modern features. The inn keepers, Al and Patrice, are welcoming and wonderful hosts. Plus Patrice makes one of the best breakfasts I have had in a long time.
Hart is the Stars Hollow of Michigan and great place to relax and replenish. A tiny gem tucked away on the West side of the state, only six miles from Lake Michigan. There is much to do in the area, even in the off season, and plenty of high quality restaurants.
We will definitely be back.

Hart House is a Bed and Breakfast that lives up to its word. The “Bed” is a spacious, beautifully restored home that is meticulously decorated. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our romantic weekend at Hart House. The hosts, Al and Patrice, made this house into a welcoming home. They made our stay wonderful. Their knowledge of the sights around Hart, filled our day. I must say, the folks in and around Hart were so friendly. The “Breakfast” is nothing short of gourmet. During our stay, we had fresh fruit, blueberry pancakes, savory spinach and cheese quiche, sausage and grits and a delicious French toast casserole. We are definitely heading back for another weekend.
